WhatsApp Messenger now available on JioPhone, JioPhone 2
WhatsApp is now available for the JioPhone and JioPhone 2. Users can download WhatsApp on both the JioPhone and the JioPhone 2 by visiting the AppStore and clicking on “download”.
If you are looking to get WhatsApp on your JioPhone, then you are in luck. The Facebook owned messaging service is now available for the JioPhone and JioPhone 2. WhatsApp is available in the JioPhone AppStore starting September 10, 2018 and will be rolled out on all JioPhones by September 20, 2018. users can download WhatsApp on both the JioPhone and the JioPhone 2 by visiting the AppStore and clicking on “download”.
WhatsApp has built a new version of its messaging app for the JioPhone running on KaiOS. The app will have features like the ability to send photos, videos, and of course, end to end encryption. Users can also send voice messages through WhatsApp on the JioPhone. To get started, JioPhone users only need to verify their phone number and then they can begin chatting with other WhatsApp users.

Recently we had reported that WhatsApp and YouTube for the JioPhone were meant to be available to users starting August 15. At its 41st AGM, RIL announced the JioPhone 2, JioGigaFiber, JioGigaTV set-top-box, Jio Smart Home solutions and more. Speaking of the specifications, the JioPhone 2 has a 2.4-inch display that looks much like an older BlackBerry device. It houses a QWERTY keypad and a four-way navigation key. It supports dual SIM cards, one 4G VoLTE slot for the Jio number and another 2G slot in which one can place a SIM card of any other operator according to Jio.
