Truecaller finally brings real-time caller ID for iPhones: Here’s how you can enable it
iPhone users can now access real-time caller ID and enhanced spam blocking with Truecaller.
To use the new features, users need iOS 18.2 and Truecaller 14.0 or later.
A new Premium Family Plan allows up to four members to share Truecaller benefits.
Truecaller has finally introduced real-time caller ID support for iPhone users. For the unversed, this feature has been available for Android users for a while. The update, which rolled out today, leverages a new feature in iOS 18 called Live Caller ID Lookup, allowing third-party apps like Truecaller to securely access caller information from their servers.
Till now, the application worked with a small and local database stored on iOS devices but now the company can use its global database and AI tools to identify a greater number of calls. Not only that, the company has also added a much anticipated automatic spam call-blocking feature for iPhone users.

However, iPhone users will have to ensure that their devices run on the latest iOS 18.2 update and that Truecaller version 14.0 or later is installed. After that, you should move to Settings and choose Apps. Then go to the Phone option and select Call Blocking & Identification on your iPhone. After that, enable all the Truecaller switches and restart the application.

Along with these features, Truecaller has also introduced a Premium Family Plan. If opted, the users will be able to share premium benefits including the Truecaller AI Assistant, with up to four family members.
In order to use these features, iPhone users will have to buy the TrueCaller Premium. The users who do not want to opt for the Premium subscription can still access the ad-supported manual searches and caller ID for verified businesses.
