Shortly after the Claude outage, Instagram appears to be having its own problems. While the exact cause is unknown, data from Downdetector shows a sudden spike in reports, indicating a potential disruption. Several users have taken to social media to claim that Instagram Web isn’t working properly, especially when it comes to sending and receiving direct messages.

The problem appears to be affecting users worldwide, with outage reports emerging from the United States, India, and other regions. Over 50 percent reports are for web, a small portion is for the server connection and 32 per cent reports are for the application.

However, the platform is currently working properly for us on both the web version and the mobile app, indicating that the issue may be limited to specific regions or accounts. Meanwhile, Downdetector data shows that reports in India have surpassed 100 in a relatively short period of time.

Many people have again taken to X and shared their problems that they are unable to use Meta’s photo sharing platform. It must be noted that Instagram has not shared any official statement and have not even acknowledged the outage yet. If you are someone facing disruptions, it is likely that the problems get fixed sometime. However, the exact fix timing remains under the wraps.
