According to the screenshot, there will be a new “Create with AI” option alongside other chat themes such as Pickleball, Minecraft and Snack Party.

In my opinion, this upcoming feature represents Meta’s continued push to integrate artificial intelligence into its suite of apps, enhancing user experience through customisation and personalisation. By allowing users to design their own chat themes, Instagram would not only foster creativity but also enable a deeper sense of ownership and individuality in digital conversations.

In a separate post, Alessandro Paluzzi also revealed that Instagram is working to allow users to get early access to features.

In related news, Meta recently confirmed that it is testing a new feature called “Peek” for Instagram. Unlike Instagram Stories, which last for 24 hours, Peek photos are expected to disappear after being viewed once. Users might only be able to capture photos in the moment using the camera and cannot upload them from their gallery.  Additionally, editing and applying filters will likely not be possible with Peek photos.

Peek seems to be an unfiltered way to share spontaneous moments on Instagram. According to the leaked screenshots of the feature, Instagram describes Peek as a tool for sharing “little moments with the people you love.”
