With the year drawing to a close, Google has released its list of top Chrome extensions so that users know more about them.

According to Google, the following are the top Chrome extensions based on different categories such as productivity, gaming, viewing, learning, and focus.

The top chrome extensions for productivity are:

1. Tango: This is an app that can automatically create a how-to guide when users record themselves walking through a process.
2. SwiftRead: This is a speed reading app that can help you read two to three times faster, according to its claims.
3. Liner: This is a research tool that you can use for highlighting, saving, organizing, and getting reading recommendations.
4. Compose AI: This is an AI writing tool.
5. Visbug: This is a tool that lets a designer go ahead and make changes to text and images on websites.
6. Check US Visa Slots: This lets users check for US visa openings.

For the Focus category, Google picked two apps:

1. Workona Tab Manager: This allows users to manage their tabs 
2. CrXMouse Chrome Gestures: This helps users create custom navigation shortcuts for their mice. 

For gaming and viewing, Google picked the following apps:

RoPro: This app has been created for Roblox players, and adds new features to the game.
eJoy: This app generates subtitles in different languages so that people can learn a new language while watching content.

For learning, Google picked the following apps:

1. Equatio: This is a digital math aide
2. MyBib: This is a free citation generator.

Google had also recently talked about its top apps in the PlayStore, with BeReal winning the best app.
