Getting a new TV for GTA 6? These 5 OLED TVs are just right for your PS5

With GTA 6 set to arrive on the PlayStation 5, choosing the right television can make a considerable difference to the overall gaming experience. Rockstar’s upcoming open-world title is expected to feature detailed environments, elaborate lighting, busy city streets and expansive outdoor locations. A good television should be able to reproduce these elements with accurate colours, deep blacks and convincing HDR performance.
OLED TVs are particularly well suited to this because each pixel can switch off independently, allowing them to produce true blacks and excellent contrast. This also helps when playing games with darker environments, where details can otherwise get lost in the shadows.
However, buying an OLED TV for the PS5 involves more than looking at its panel technology or advertised refresh rate. Features such as HDMI 2.1, VRR, ALLM, low input lag and HDR support also matter. While the PS5 supports gaming at up to 4K 120Hz, you do not necessarily need a television with a 144Hz or 165Hz panel to get the best experience.
Here are five 55-inch OLED TVs worth considering for GTA 6 on the PS5.
Upar writing block mein hai. Normal text mein bhi de raha hoon:
1. LG OLED evo G6
Vice City’s bright streets, neon-lit buildings and darker interiors will put an OLED television’s contrast and brightness to good use. LG’s OLED evo G6 is built around this combination. It features Brightness Booster Ultra, which pushes the panel’s brightness beyond conventional OLED displays, while Reflection Free Premium helps keep distracting reflections under control.
LG has also fitted its Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3, along with Dolby Vision support. On the gaming front, there are four HDMI 2.1 ports, a native 120Hz refresh rate and VRR support up to 165Hz. The PS5 won’t use the full 165Hz, but the G6 has plenty of headroom for other gaming devices too.
2. Samsung OLED S95H
A drive through Vice City at night, with neon signs reflecting off wet roads, is exactly the kind of scene where colour reproduction gets plenty of attention. Samsung’s S95H comes with OLED HDR Pro and its NQ4 AI Gen 3 processor to handle HDR content and image processing. The television also features a Glare Free screen, which should help when gaming in a room with lights on or sunlight coming through the windows.
Its gaming specifications include four HDMI ports, VRR and Motion Xcelerator 165Hz support, along with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility. Samsung hasn’t included Dolby Vision, though, so movie enthusiasts who use compatible streaming services will have to make do without it.
3. Sony Bravia 8 II
Not everyone wants an aggressively bright or saturated picture. Sony’s Bravia 8 II takes a more cinematic route, with its XR Processor, XR Contrast Booster 25 and XR Triluminos Max technology handling image processing, contrast and colours. The OLED panel takes care of the deep blacks, while Dolby Vision support adds flexibility for compatible films and shows.
Gaming is limited to 4K at 120Hz, but that’s hardly a problem for the PS5. You also get VRR and ALLM through compatible HDMI inputs. Sony has another unusual feature here: Acoustic Surface Audio+, which uses actuators to make the screen itself produce sound. It’s an interesting addition if you don’t immediately plan to pair the TV with a soundbar.
4. LG OLED evo C6
The C6 is where LG’s OLED range starts getting interesting for buyers who don’t necessarily need its flagship G-series television. It retains the OLED panel’s deep blacks and individual pixel control, along with Dolby Vision support. The Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3 handles image processing, while Brightness Booster improves the panel’s light output. LG hasn’t cut corners on gaming connectivity either.
There are four HDMI inputs with 4K 120Hz, VRR and ALLM support. The native refresh rate is 120Hz, although VRR can go up to 165Hz. Compared with the G6, you miss out on its more advanced brightness and reflection-handling features. But the C6 still covers the essentials for a high-end PS5 setup.
5. Samsung OLED S90H
The S90H has a fairly comprehensive gaming feature set, even though it sits below the S95H in Samsung’s OLED lineup. Its NQ4 AI Gen 3 processor handles picture processing, while OLED HDR+ takes care of compatible HDR content. Samsung has also included Glare Free technology, four HDMI inputs and support for Motion Xcelerator 165Hz. NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro are part of the package too.
For PS5 owners, the 4K 120Hz support is the specification to pay attention to. The absence of Dolby Vision remains a limitation, particularly if you use the television for streaming movies. I’d compare its picture performance and actual retail price against the S95H before deciding which one deserves your money.
