You think the Lenovo – Motorola partnership is bound for success: Poll
HIGHLIGHTS

A majority of Thinkdigit readers believe that Lenovo made a good call by buying Motorola Mobility.

Lenovo surprised the world earlier this year by announcing that it will be acquiring Motorola Mobility from Google for $2.91 billion. As a result, the company behind classic phones like the Razr V3 and the Droid will now be run and managed by Lenovo, a company that’s just finding its footing in the smartphone and tablet segment.

We asked you the question “Does buying Motorola make sense for Lenovo’s mobile business?” and over 2,500 of you responded (2,726 to be precise). The majority of you (60%) expressed confidence in the brand new partnership and thought that Lenovo will gain a lot from Motorola’s experience in making phones. About 24% of you thought that it was too early to say anything about how successful or not the partnership would be and it was better to be pragmatic for the present. Only 16% of you thought that Lenovo had wasted money on Motorola and that it would have been better off working on its own phones than rely on a company that was no longer a relevant name in the mobile phone segment.

Make sure you also vote on our new poll that should be going live on our homepage soon. In this new poll we ask you “Do you think the Nokia X is a phone worth buying?”
