It is that time of week again, when we announce the ThinkDigit Weekly Poll Results from the previous week.
Last week, we asked, “What is your opinion on the Nokia Lumia phones based on Windows Phone OS?” The options were:
1) They are as good as iPhone and Android smartphones.
2) They suck.
3) Haven’t tried them yet.
4) They are promising, but we expect more.
Well, now we have the results, and once again, we’d like to thank our readers for their overwhelming response (we received more than 500 votes across our newsletter and website poll respondents), and hope to see the same level of enthusiasm in the future.
Interestingly, last week’s poll results are very evenly divided between the options provided. This indicates that nearly as many people think Nokia Lumia phones suck, as those who think they are as good as iPhone and Android smartphones. Conversely, nearly as many people feel Nokia Lumia phones are promising but not yet good enough, as those who have not had a chance to check out Nokia’s Windows Phone devices themselves.
Overall, we feel Nokia might be quite heartened by these results, with only a quarter of respondents not having tried Nokia Lumia phones – indicating nearly three-fourths of our readers have tried their hands on a Nokia Lumia device, which would mean, that a fair proportion of the Nokia Lumia demographic have seen for themselves just what Nokia has to offer in its Windows Phone-powered smartphone segment.
The highest number of votes received (149, or 29%) said: “They are promising, but we expect more.”
The second highest number of votes received (130, or 26%) said: “They are as good as iPhone and Android smartphones.”
