HIGHLIGHTS

Vivo V11 Pro comes equipped with a 25MP front facing camera and features a 12MP+5MP dual-rear camera setup.

With a tagline like 'Camera and Music’, one can hazard a guess that Vivo knows a thing or two about cameras. The company's newest smartphone, the Vivo V11 Pro may look very pretty, but it still packs a pretty interesting camera setup. Let's take a quick look at the camera features of the smartphone.

Kicking things off with the dual 12MP+5MP rear camera setup, the main 12MP unit here sports a large f/1.8 aperture lens with 1.28μm pixels. This comes in handy when taking photos in low light conditions as the sensor is able to process more light. The phone also comes with AI Backlight HDR technology. The company says that when this mode is flipped on, the phone uses an AI algorithm to capture multiple frames in order to take a picture with the right amount of exposure.

AI is also implemented when it comes to capturing images in low light conditions. If the lighting isn't ideal, the phone takes six shots and then combines them to create a single image. Another use of AI is with scene recognition. The phone is capable of recognising what's it's taking a photo of, and then automatically adjust the settings to capture the best possible shot.

Coming to the front camera, the Vivo V11 Pro sports a 25MP front-facing sensor. While the sensor is quite impressive by itself, it too makes use of AI to takes photos a notch higher. AI is able to enhance individual features of a face like the nose, mouth and eyes. Another interesting feature of the phone is the AI Selfie Lighting feature, which Vivo claims that the AI algorithms on the phone are able to understand how your face would interact three-dimensionally with light. It is then able to replicate artistic lighting that you might find in a studio.
