Amongst all the chaos happening in the video game world, it looks like we finally have some good news. Sony and PlayStation have finally announced the release date for their upcoming and much-hyped game, Marvel’s Wolverine. The game has been through a lot, from being involved with those early leaks that got us a full-on playable demo to a long delay with the release. But well, after so much, we finally have an exact release date. Without wasting much time, let’s take a look at every other detail that has come out with this announcement.

Insomniac Games, the developers behind Marvel’s Wolverine, have revealed that the game is coming out on 15 September 2026. Over on X, the company announced the release date with a short teaser video, and the post reads, “Let’s cut to the chase: Marvel’s Wolverine launches September 15, 2026.”
Speaking more about the game itself, the PlayStation Store description for the game reads, “As he searches for answers about his past, Wolverine will do whatever it takes – unleashing brutal claw combat, violent rage, and relentless determination – to cut through the mystery of the man he used to be.”
Marvel’s Wolverine: India price and pre-order leaks
With the announcement of the release date, a natural question that comes up is the details regarding the game’s pricing and pre-order details. Unfortunately, the developers are yet to announce the price and pre-order details for Marvel’s Wolverine. Going onto the PlayStation Store page as of now reveals no other details; there is only an option to wishlist the game.
The page hasn’t been updated with the release date yet, as it still says, “Release date to be determined”. Though it should be updated in the days to come. Speaking of the pricing, it will most likely follow the $70 route that most PlayStation exclusives come with. In India, the game will likely be available for Rs 4,999, with the deluxe edition being priced at Rs 5,999.
Is the game coming out on PS4 and PC?
Many have been wondering whether or not the game will also be coming on the PlayStation 4 and other platforms, including PC, or not. While we do have confirmation that the game is not coming out on PS4, as the PlayStation Store page confirms that the game is only coming out on the PlayStation 5.
But speaking of the PC release, we’re still not sure about the date yet. Given PlayStation’s previous PC lineup, the game could likely be coming over to the platform. Looking at the previous release patterns, it will take at least one year.
The game has been very well hyped among fans, mainly because of Insomniac Games. These developers are the same people who worked on the very popular Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, and now they are bringing the same magic with Marvel’s Wolverine.
