If you are one that enjoys playing video games competitively, then there is good news for you. ESL, the body responsible for organizing and hosting e-sports events around the world is coming to India for the first time. Eight teams will battle it out for the championship where only one team will emerge victorious. One of the eight teams competing for the prize is from India. One of ESL’s key partners is Intel. A fun fact is that Intel has been at the forefront of online gaming before it was officially called e-sports. You can read more about Intel's support for esports here.  Since this is the first time an event of this scale is happening in India, here is a quick look at everything you need to know about the grand gaming event kicking off in a matter of hours in Mumbai.

What is ESL One Mumbai?

ESL One Mumbai 2019 is the first ESL One in India. For the first year, ESL will be coming to Mumbai to the NSCI Dome Stadium where 8 of the best DOTA 2 teams will battle it out in front of your eyes. All the machines that the players will use will have an Intel Core-i9 processor at heart. The event will take place from April 19, 2019 to April 21, 2019.

What games will be played there?

DOTA 2 is the game of choice. The participating teams include Natus Vincere from Ukraine, Signify from India, Team Team from the US, The Pango from Russia, Keen Gaming from China, Complexity from the US, Tnc Predator from the Philippines and Mineski from Malaysia. 

What is the prize pool?

The prize pool of the event is  $300,000 USD that converts to Rs 2,08,16,250. This isn't for the final winner alone.

What else will happen besides DOTA 2? 

If you are a PC gamer then there is a lot for you to look forward to. There will be a slew of Intel-powered PCs on display from a number of brands to give you a hands-on experience on gaming machines available in India. This will be for desktop PCs and laptops as well. If you want to game like a king then the Acer predator Thronos will also be there on display powered by the Intel Core-i9 9900K to give you the ultimate gaming experience.
