For all the racing fans out there, everyone must have heard of the Forza Horizon series. More than just racing, the series is known for its arcade vibes and just for how fun it is. Well, the upcoming sixth instalment looks to take the experience even further. Set in Japan, the open-world nature and photo-realistic visuals will definitely make the upcoming Forza Horizon 6 the kind of game you can sink hours into without feeling guilty. Whether you are a casual driver who just wants to explore or someone who fine-tunes every setting before a race, there is room for everyone here.

007 First Light

Release Date: May 27, 2026

upcoming PC games: 007 First Light

Makers of the Hitman series, IO Interactive, are going to release ‘007 First Light’, which gives a fresh take on the Bond franchise. Putting you in the shoes of a younger James Bond during his formative years as a spy, the teasers and trailers for the game have so far been filled with action and adventure. The mix of cinematic storytelling with open-ended gameplay could make this one of the most unique experiences of the year.

Beast of Reincarnation

Release Date: August 4, 2026

upcoming PC games: Beast of Reincarnation

Upon its first showcase, almost no one believed that ‘Beast of Reincarnation’ was being developed by Game Freak, the studio best known for building the Pokémon franchise. But the news is true, and the developers are making their first-ever AAA title outside of the Pokémon franchise, and surprisingly, it looks nothing like what you would expect from them. Set in a post-apocalyptic Japan, you follow Emma, a fighter with plant-based abilities, and her canine companion Koo across a world reshaped by a mysterious blight. The teasers and trailers have shown a combat system that blends real-time melee with a companion command system.

CONTROL Resonant

Release Date: To be announced (2026)

upcoming PC games: Control Resonant

Remedy Entertainment is known for some mind-blowing games. The original Alan Wake and its successor were both highly rated by critics and the public, and it looks like they’re looking to do something again. Control Resonant is the sequel to the original game from 2019, and it shifts the action from the Oldest House to Manhattan, with players now controlling Dylan Faden, who is Jesse’s brother. Unlike the first game, which leaned into third-person shooting, Resonant is a full action RPG with more focus on melee combat. Remedy has confirmed you do not need to have played the original to jump in, making this a solid entry point for newcomers too.

Phantom Blade Zero

Release Date: September 9, 2026

upcoming PC games: Phantom Blade Zero

Last but not least, we probably have the most hyped game on the list, which is Phantom Blade Zero. Developed by S-GAME, this is an action game rooted in Chinese mythology. So far, what most people have been hyped about is the high-speed sword combat with the dark and cinematic theme. It is still building anticipation ahead of its eventual PC release, but if the final game matches what has been shown so far, this could easily be one of the contenders for the Game Awards this year.

Whether PC component prices go down or stay the same is a question that most industry experts still won’t be able to answer. But it is safe to say that 2026 is definitely stacked with new PC releases, and gamers on the platform are definitely in for a particularly good ride this year.
