Using it regularly, it can get a bit overwhelming at times when new messages are coming in every other minute. You’d understand this pain-point, especially if you have been a part of family groups and more which are just ground zero for endless exchange of messages.

Having said that, WhatsApp offers tons of interesting features that you can use in your daily lives to stay connected to your loved ones, now more than ever. It’s secure as well, offering end-to-end encryption and other privacy settings.

  1. Launch WhatsApp for Android

  2. Tap the Kebab Menu button (three vertical dots) and that should open inline menu options.

Understanding WhatsApp notifications

  1. Conversation tones toggle: Set to enable by default, this toggle lets you control the alert sound for incoming and outgoing messages.

  4. As for the notification light colour, you have an option to choose from a range of seven colour options including white, red, yellow, green, cyan, blue and purple.
