Planning to get Battlefield 6? Here is how powerful your PC should be

The day every FPS (first person shooter) gamer has been waiting for is almost here. Battlefield 6 launches on October 10 and the game has been one of the most awaited titles this year, especially after the Beta version rolled out earlier this year. Now, EA and Battlefield Studios have finally lifted the lid on the PC requirements for the game, revealing not just the usual minimum and recommended specs but also the performance targets players can expect across multiple settings. From 1080p gaming to ultra-high-end 4K setups, the studio has shared detailed benchmarks that paint a clear picture of how demanding this year’s most anticipated shooter will be on PC. The information arrives just ahead of the game’s global launch, giving players a fair chance to check whether their systems are ready for the fight.

Battlefield 6 PC requirements

Before we delve into the requirements, it is worth mentioning that the developer has also confirmed that Battlefield 6 will require Secure Boot to be enabled for PC users. This move is likely tied to anti-cheat measures and system integrity enforcement. This means players running older BIOS versions or modified setups will need to ensure their PCs are configured properly before the game’s release. Now, let’s take a look at the PC requirements for the game.

At the bare minimum, you’ll need an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-8400 CPU paired with an Nvidia RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A380 GPU. EA says this configuration should get players a stable 30 FPS at 1080p, though this comes with reduced visual quality and longer loading times since the game will require 55GB of HDD space. RAM requirements start at 16GB, signalling that even entry-level configurations need a fair amount of memory to keep gameplay fluid.

For those aiming for smoother gameplay and higher detail levels, EA’s recommended settings suggest an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-10700, alongside a RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT. This setup pushes the frame rate to 60+ FPS at 1080p or 30 FPS at 1440p, provided you’re running the game off an SSD with at least 90GB of free space. Once again, 16GB of RAM remains the baseline, reinforcing that Battlefield 6 is a resource-heavy game, even at moderate resolutions.

The real showcase, however, is in the Ultra and Ultra++ modes, which EA says are designed for enthusiasts running the latest-generation hardware. To push Battlefield 6 at 4K and beyond 240 FPS, players will need a rig powered by an Nvidia RTX 5080 and an Intel Core Ultra 285K processor. That’s a steep entry point, but it also signals how visually ambitious Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be.

Battlefield 6 release time in India

This year’s release follows a simultaneous global rollout, meaning everyone across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S will hit the battlefield at the same time. For players in India, Battlefield 6 unlocks at 8:30 PM IST on October 10. Pre-loads opened on October 3 at the same time, giving players a week to download and prep before launch night.

There’s also no early-access window tied to pricier editions, keeping things fair for all players. On PC, Steam users can play directly without needing the EA App, though an EA account is still required. Epic Games Store users, however, will need both the EA App and an active account. Meanwhile, EA Play Pro subscribers will get instant Day 1 access to the Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition through the EA App.
