HP launches AI-powered OmniBook 5 and 3 laptops in India, starting at ₹69,999
HP has introduced two new laptop series in India under its OmniBook lineup. The OmniBook 5, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus, and the OmniBook 3, built on AMD’s freshly launched Ryzen AI 300 chips.
SurveyBoth models feature built-in NPUs (neural processing units) that HP says can handle between 45 and 50 trillion operations per second. That’s enough to run Microsoft’s Copilot locally, along with HP’s own AI Companion app and a handful of video-calling enhancements like auto-framing and noise suppression.

The OmniBook 5 is the more premium of the two, a 14-inch device with a 2K OLED panel, Snapdragon X Plus chip, and what HP claims is the “world’s longest battery life” in an ultra-slim AI PC. That claim? 34 hours. Yes, really. Whether it holds up in real-world conditions remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, the more budget-oriented OmniBook 3 comes in two sizes, 14 and 15.6 inches, and runs on AMD’s new AI platform. HP is positioning it as the productivity-first choice, with a 1080p screen, up to 85% screen-to-body ratio, and a healthy mix of ports (USB-C, USB-A, HDMI) for hybrid work or school setups.
Like most of HP’s recent launches, both models lean into the company’s sustainability pitch. Think recycled plastics, ocean-bound material in speaker enclosures, and EPEAT Gold and ENERGY STAR certifications slapped on the box.
The laptops are available now in India in a single “Glacier Silver” colour. Pricing starts at ₹75,999 for the OmniBook 5 and ₹69,999 for both OmniBook 3 variants. Buyers going the offline route can get 8-month no-cost EMI deals through HP World Stores and major electronics chains like Croma and Reliance Digital.
