We at Digit.in often tell our readers and viewers that 8GB is the minimum amount of RAM a laptop should have for a smooth web browsing and multitasking experience. Even though Microsoft claims that 2GB RAM is sufficient to get Windows 10 up and running, we believe that a laptop should come with not 4GB RAM but 8GB RAM. It's the minimum you'll need for activities like software testing and online video playback. Whether it's Linux or Windows, 8GB is enough memory space to keep Chrome's heavy instances running at the same time without choking and stalling. To that end, we have created a list of what we believe are the best 8GB RAM laptops. Although the prices of the products mentioned in the list given below have been updated as of 17th Jan 2021, the list itself may have changed since it was last published due to the launch of new products in the market since then.

Launched sometime in 2018, the Asus VivoBook S14 is still as relevant as it was last year. This Thin and Light model employs a thin (even slightly shaky) build but makes up for it in outright computing power. The audio quality from the device's two down-firing SonicMaster-powered speakers is surprisingly clear and crisp. The VivoBook S14 is for users who expect good performance; its solid-state drive ensures that. You can read more about the Asus VivoBook S14 in our review.
