The company says that it will integrate the intelligent assistant Alexa across its devices and will be the first Amazon exclusive smartphone in India to come with the digital assistant.
Coolpad announced at MWC 2018 that it will integrate Amazon's smart assistant, Alexa, with its devices. Syed Tajuddin, CEO of Coolpad India, said, “We are working to immerse more AI and tech into smartphones to make the experience more Intelligent, friendly and beneficial for the customers. Incorporating Alexa in Coolpad smartphones is one such step in that direction. As Coolpad is looking forward to make smartphones more intelligent and helpful with AI, Alexa is a perfect fit. We will be rolling out Alexa in Cool Play 6, Note 5 and Note 5 via an OTA update and our upcoming devices will have Amazon Alexa pre-installed in them. It will definitely make the Coolpad devices even more convenient and helpful for customers.”

Coolpad Group, a leading global smartphone technology brand, today announced during the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2018 that it will integrate Amazon`s voice service, Alexa, across its devices. Coolpad will be the first Amazon Exclusive brand in India which will introduce Alexa in their smartphones. Amazon Alexa on Coolpad smartphones will give consumers a complete smart mobile experience as they will be able to use their Coolpad smartphone to access the abundance of Alexa skills with just their voice.
Coolpad smartphone users can give voice commands for multiple tasks, using the Coolpad Alexa app and can ask Alexa to play their favourite music, shop from Amazon.in, as well as access information such as weather, calendar, to-do lists and news briefings, that are set up through the Alexa app.
