Sony has launched its new WS623 Walkman in India at Rs. 8,990. The company says that the device is built to endure extreme outdoor conditions. The device is IP65/IP68 certified and is salt water proof. It allows users to swim up to a depth of two meters with up to 30 minutes of submerged time. The wireless Bluetooth device also comes with NFC for pairing with devices. Further, the company claims that the Sony WS623 Walkman offers 12 hours of battery life and can offer 60 minutes of playback with a three minute charge.

WS623 Walkman® is salt waterproof, allowing one to swim to a depth of 2 meters with up to 30 minutes of submerged time. Also dustproof, it can withstand small particles – making it ideal for any sand based activity or a run along the beach.
