Vi has also confirmed that it will expand its 5G network to key regions such as Delhi, Bihar, Karnataka, and Punjab by April 2025. Once the rollout is complete, users in these cities will be able to take advantage of the new Rs 299 and other 5G plans.

It is worth noting that the plan provides unlimited 5G data, but only to users who are within the Vi 5G network coverage area in Mumbai. Outside of these areas, internet connectivity will be switched directly to Vi’s 4G network. If users exceed the 1GB daily data limit, their speed will be reduced to 64Kbps.

Additionally, Vi is expected to launch new Prepaid and Postpaid 5G plans for the country’s users. However, Vi has not revealed the exact timeline for its 5G rollout.

In other news, Airtel and Reliance Jio have announced a partnership with Elon Musk’s SpaceX to bring satellite-based connectivity to users. However, the introduction is still subject to regulatory approval.

Both telecom behemoths strive to provide users with improved connectivity, particularly in previously undiscovered network areas. However, the exact release date, plans, price, and other details are unknown at this time. It remains to be seen when Starlink will be able to expand its operations in India. For those unfamiliar, it is already available in 100 countries.
