State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has extended its Rs 1 recharge plan under the “Freedom Offer” till September 15, 2025. The scheme, originally set to end on August 31, has now been extended, giving users an additional time period to avail the benefit. The Rs 1 recharge plan is one of the most affordable entry-level packs in the telecom market with data and unlimited calling benefits. BSNL announced the extension through a post on X, highlighting that the offer also comes with a new SIM card for eligible customers.

BSNL Rs 1 plan benefits

Under this offer, subscribers will get 30 days of unlimited local and national voice calls, 2GB of 4G data per day, and 100 SMS daily, all for a nominal recharge of just Re 1. Additionally, the plan includes nationwide roaming benefits.

Notably, the plan is exclusively available to new users who purchase a BSNL SIM during the promotional period. Customers can get the Freedom Plan by visiting the nearest BSNL customer service centre, carrying valid documents for KYC.

Meanwhile, BSNL has announced a Rs 199 plan for its existing customers, offering unlimited voice calls, 2GB of high-speed data per day, and 100 SMS/day for a validity of 28 days.

Apart from this, the telco has also launched a new BiTV Premium Pack for its mobile subscribers, offering access to OTT and live TV channels. The entertainment pack, priced at Rs 151, gives users access to over 25 OTT apps and more than 450 live TV channels through the BiTV app.

BiTV was first introduced in February and made available free of cost to BSNL users during its testing phase. The platform offers access to a diverse range of OTT partners, including Aha, ZEE5, SonyLIV, Shemaroo, Sun NXT, Chaupal, Lionsgate Play, ETV Win, Discovery, and Epic ON.
