YU announces YU Yureka will be available without any registrations on May 6th and May 7th. The direct sales will start from 10 AM on Wednesday
The YU Yureka will be available for purchase directly without registrations for 48 hours on May 6th and May 7th. The smartphone which is currently available via a flash sale model where the company only sells about 10,000 phones in each sale .YU announced this news through its official Twitter account.(Read: Yu Yuphoria First Impression)
YU Yureka’s Amazon India page states that the sales will start from 10 AM on wednesday. It is noteworthy that YU’s channel partner Amazon India will be holding a three day ‘Great Indian Summer Sale’ from May 6th to 8th May. The direct sale of the YU Yureka is also seen as stock clearance sale as the company has already announced that it will launching their second phone, the YU Yuphoria on 12th of May.

Company's upcoming YU Yuphoria, previously known as Project Caesar is being touted as the rival to Xiaomi’s Redmi 2. YU already teased some specs of the upcoming smartphone confirming that Yuphoria will have a 64-bit SoC, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of RAM. The smartphone will come with Cyanogen’s CM12 which is based on Android Lollipop out of the box.
YU Yureka smartphone boasts a respectable spec sheet for its price. The sub 10K phone is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC. It has a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. On the front it has a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone comes with Dual-SIM capability and can take upto 32GB of microSD cards. At the back the smartphone houses a 13MP camera and at the front a 5MP front-facing camera.
The highlight however is the operating system as the smartphone runs on Cyanogen’s CM11 which was recently updated to CM12. The new update is based on Android Lollipop brings ‘Ok OnePlus’ voice activation feature. Cyanogen came into the news earlier this year as it broke ties with long standing partner OnePlus and signed a deal with Micromax for its YU Televentures.
