Xolo has unveiled its 'premium' Black smartphone featuring dual-camera setup and 5.5-inch full HD display, to sell via Flipkart for Rs. 12,999

Xolo launched its first 'premium' smartphone under the banner of 'Black'. Released this afternoon, the smartphone will sell via Flipkart from Monday, July 13. People already using Xolo smartphones can register to exclusively buy the Xolo Black on Sunday, between 4pm and 8pm.

The Xolo Black runs on a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, along with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of internal storage, that can be expanded by up to 32GB via microSD. The microSD card slot is part of the hybrid dual-SIM setup in the 'premium' smartphone, which features micro-SIM and nano-SIM slots. It is loaded with Android Lollipop v5.0 underneath its Hive Atlas UI, and features a 5.5-inch IPS display at 1080×1920 pixels resolution with a pixel density of 403 dpi. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection is present on the rear end too.

The camera has a dual-setup, with 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, which Xolo claims will provide fast autofocus in 0.15 seconds. It also has a feature called UbiFocus, which allows refocusing on objects even after a photograph is taken. The camera also equips ChromaFlash – a single-LED flash optimised to produce natural colours in low light, as claimed by Xolo. It has also included the Adobe-powered Photo Studio in its image gallery.

The Xolo Black handsets will be up for preview in Vodafone stores, and interested customers can avail a free to-and-fro ride on Uber to get their hands on the device. There is also a tie-up with Vodafone for a bundled SIM with 1GB data for a month and two months of Vodafone Music service, gratis.
