The Xolo Black 1X will be a successor to the Xolo Black and is expected to run on MediaTek chipset.

Xolo is reportedly planning to release Xolo Black 1X by the end of the October. The smartphone will be a successor to the Xolo Black launched earlier this year. TOI Tech reported about the release of the smartphone citing sources. The pricing of the Black 1X is expected to be in the same price bracket as the Black. There is not much information available related to the specifications of the Black 1X, but it is expected to sport a Full HD display. It is also expected to be powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset along with a built-in storage of 32GB.

Black’ is a sub-brand of Xolo under which the company releases exclusive ‘premium’ smartphones online. The Xolo Black was the first smartphone to be released under the brand. The phone sports a 5.5-inch IPS Full HD display with a pixel density of 403 dpi. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has a 2GB of RAM and offers 16GB of built-in storage. It also supports microSD card using which storage can be expanded up to 32GB. It runs on Hive Atlas UI, based on Android Lollipop v5.0. The phone has a 3,200mAh battery with the highlight being the dual-setup of the camera. The Xolo Black has 13MP and 2MP camera sensors at the back. On the front, the phone has a 5MP camera.

At the time of announcement of the ‘Black’ brand, Vishal Sehgal, Co-founder & Director of Lava International said that through feedback from customers, they have found four key features a customer looks for while buying a new smartphone. These are battery, audio performance, industrial design and camera. He added that the upcoming smartphones under the Black brand will focus on one of the key features while optimising the rest accordingly. He also said that the smartphones will be priced within the 10k to 20k category and if the response is good, then future phones may be released in other price categories.
