Xiaomi Mi Note 2 allegedly teased with dual camera setup
HIGHLIGHTS

Rumours suggest that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 may feature Snapdragon 821, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

In a photo leaked earlier today on Chinese microblogging site Weibo (via PlayfulDroid), a Xiaomi phone has been spotted with a dual-camera setup. Rumours suggest that the device is likely to be the much-rumoured Mi Note 2, which may launch later this year. This latest leak further strengthens previous rumours of the Mi note 2 sporting a dual-camera setup. This particular camera setup seems to be a new trend now, as many phone makers are implementing it. OEMs such as Huawei and LG have done it previously, and with Apple’s new iPhone 7 Plus sporting two cameras, more phone may use two primary cameras.

The leaked images also gives a glimpse of the curved glass back. Both the Mi Note and the Mi 5 features curved glass rears, lending a premium, refined feel. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC. It is rumoured to house 64GB of minimum storage and 6GB RAM. It might also be available in a higher variant with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM. It is supposed to sport a 5.7-inch curved OLED display and house a 3600mAh battery. Alongside dual-13MP cameras, the Mi Note 2 has an 8MP front-facing camera.

In India, however, Xiaomi’s best-selling phone remains the budget-friendly Redmi Note 3, and the company has further expanded in the lower price segment with the Redmi 3S. With the Mi Note 2, Xiaomi may expand its portfolio in India, but towards the higher end.
