Xiaomi will launch the second generation of its Android One smartphones, the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite, today in Madrid, Spain. The launch in Spain is the company’s second event in Europe after the launch of the Mi Mix 2 in Madrid last year. The Chinese conglomerate has been teasing the phones’ features and is flooding its handle on Twitter with images and videos teasing the new phones. In the latest string of images and videos, the company teased the cameras, performance and features of the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. Xiaomi also asked Mi Fans to guess the price of the smartphones.
“#MiA2 and #MiA2Lite let you focus on what's important. Which would you choose? #2isbetterthan1 #XiaomiGlobalLaunch,” the company posted on Twitter along with a short video. Along with an image of last year’s phone and two dummies of Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite, the company posted, “Can you guess the price? Tell us how much you think the #MiA2 and #MiA2Lite will cost.” Another video popped up early today morning on Xiaomi's Twitter handle showing a bunch of smartphone users talking about their daily phone peeves. The video goes on to show a blurred out Mi A2, teasing the fact that the phone will bring fast performance and good imaging skills.

A lot is already known about the Xiaomi Mi A2 and A2 Lite thanks to rumours and the fact that the Mi A2 will mostly be a repackaged Mi 6X which was launched in China earlier. Here's what we know about the Mi A2 and A2 Lite.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Specs: The Mi A2 is expected to ape the hardware of the Mi 6X. The Mi A2 could come with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.2GHz and an Adreno 512 GPU. When it comes to the memory and storage options, Xiaomi could launch three variants of the phone: 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.
When it comes to the cameras, the Mi A2 is likely to sport a 12MP sensor combined with a 20MP sensor on the back, and a 20-megapixel sensor on the front. Xiaomi may keep the fingerprint scanner at the back — just like Mi A1. The phone could house a 3010 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. Being under the Android One programme, the Mi A2 will run stock Android and is expected to receive monthly security patches and regular major OS updates.
Mi A2 Price: The Mi A2's price has leaked a couple of times on different ecommerce website. As per a new report, the phone's 4GB RAM/64GB storage version could cost £209.99 (Rs 14,428 approx), which is 13 percent less than the previously spotted listing.
