Xiaomi launches Service Order Status feature in India for tracking repairs
The Service Order Status tracking feature allows Xiaomi users to check the current status of their under-repair devices online.
Xiaomi has announced a Service Order Status tracking feature for its Indian customers. As the name suggests, the service will facilitate users in tracking the repair status of their Mi products online, on the company’s website. Manu Jain, MD of Xiaomi India, announced the Service Order Status tracking feature via a tweet and the company detailed the service in a blog post.
The company, in its forum post, said, “It (the service) is one of its kind and very few platforms in India have deployed it. You usually call the service center executive to know the status of your device given for repair. Now with the help of service order status, you can easily track your device and know its service status online,” The service status of a device under repair can be; Under inspection, Work in progress, Ready for delivery, Delivered and Cancelled.
In order to track their device, users need to visit the Xiaomi Service order status page. Then they need to enter their phone/order/service/IMEI/Sn No and click on confirm to receive an OTP on their registered phone number. By verifying the OTP and clicking on Submit, users will be able to view the current status of their service order along with other details of their device.
Xiaomi is also hosting its No 1 Mi Fan sale at its Mi Home stores until January 1. The company is offering special discounts on various smartphones and accessories. The sale is being held across 15 Mi Homes in 6 cities and Xiaomi smartphones like Mi A1, Mi Max 2, Mi Mix 2, Redmi Note 4 and more will get a discount of up to Rs 3,000. Additionally, many accessories like Mi Router 3C, Xiaomi headphones, BT Mini speaker and more will receive a discount of up to Rs 500.
