Xiaomi 17T, Redmi Note 15, Redmi 15C and others are now costlier by up to Rs 5,000 in India: Check new prices here

The Xiaomi 17T sees the biggest increase, with both storage variants now costing Rs 5,000 more.
Xiaomi attributes the price hike to soaring DRAM and NAND memory costs, following similar moves by Samsung, Vivo and Oppo.
If you want to purchase a Xiaomi or Redmi device, you will now have to pay more. The new listings on the company’s online store and e-commerce platforms confirm that the brand has raised the prices of several Redmi and Xiaomi smartphones, effective today. The price increase applies to both entry-level Redmi devices and Xiaomi’s premium devices, such as the Redmi 15A, Redmi 15C, and Note 15, among others.

4GB + 128GB: Rs 15,999 → Rs 17,499 (hike of Rs 1,500)
6GB + 128GB: Rs 17,999 → Rs 19,499 (hike of Rs 1,500)
4GB + 128GB: Rs 16,999 → Rs 18,499 (hike of Rs 1,500)
6GB + 128GB: Rs 18,999 → Rs 20,499 (hike of Rs 1,500)
8GB + 128GB: Rs 20,999 → Rs 22,499 (hike of Rs 1,500)
6GB + 128GB: Rs 20,499 → Rs 21,499 (hike of Rs 1,000)
8GB + 128GB: Rs 22,499 → Rs 23,499 (hike of Rs 1,000)
8GB + 256GB: Rs 24,499 → Rs 25,499 (hike of Rs 1,000)

However, the customers will be able to use the bank cards to further reduce the price. EMI options and exchange options are still available on the platform.
Why the price hike?
This latest price hike might be largely being driven by the ongoing global memory chip shortage. It has been no lie that the prices of DRAM and NAND flash memory, two key components used in every smartphone, have seen crazy price hikes over the past few months due to the demand.
As a result, the production costs are climbing exponentially and smartphone makers are finding it difficult to absorb the additional expense. Many brands like Vivo, Oppo and Samsung have already increased the prices.
