ViewSonic to launch two mid-range Android smartphones in India – V350 and ViewPad 4

Viewsonic is reportedly set to launch two new Android smartphones in India – the dual-SIM Viewsonic V350 and ViewPad 4. The phones are in the mid-range Android segment, expected to be priced at Rs. 17,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively, according to a report by the Mobile Indian.

The dual-SIM Viewsonic V350 (seen below) comes with Android 2.2 Froyo onboard and is powered by a 600MHz processor part of the Qualcomm MSM 7227 chipset, along with 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM. It has a 3.5 inch 320×480 pixel capacitive touchscreen, a 5MP autofocus camera, expandable memory up to 32GB though microSD, a 1400 mAh battery, as well as 3G, Bluetooth, microUSB, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity.

ViewPad 4 (also seen below), is said to be another version of the Huawei Ideos X6, and has a 4.1 inch 480×800 pixel capacitive touchscreen. It comes with Android Gingerbread onboard, and is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset, with a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and 2GB of ROM. The Flash 10.1 enabled smartphone features a 5MP autofocus camera capable of HD 720p video recording, as well as 3G, Bluetooth, microUSB, miniHDMI, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The report quotes Ajay Sharma, country manager of Viewsonic in India, as saying that these new smartphones will be launched along with the new tablets the company revealed recently.
