Videocon has launched an entry-level smartphone called the Infinium Z40 Quad. Touted as a selfie phone, the smartphone has a 3.2MP front-facing camera. The Infinium Z40 Quad is available for Rs. 5,490.

The Videocon Infinium Z40 Quad is a dual-SIM smartphone running Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor along with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone has 4-inch IPS display.

The smartphone has 3.2MP front-facing camera and 5MP autofocus rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash. It has 4GB built-in storage and supports microSD for additional storage.

In terms of connectivity, the Infinium Z40 Quad supports 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It is powered by a 1400 mAh battery.

Videocon is offering pre-installed Hungama Music app, which gives access to 100 free content download for 30 days, along with preinstalled Gameloft Games like Spiderman & Bubble Bash 3. For security, the device is being offered with a preinstalled V-Secure application with 90 days free trial that helps in providing mobile security.

Selfie smartphones are becoming quite popular, prompting the likes of Sony, HTC and Nokia to launch smartphones with improved front-facing camera. Well, Videocon's selfie phone may not be in that league, but definitely is among few low-cost phones with better front-facing camera.
