Vivo has announced a new offering within the Vivo Y lineup in the shape of the Vivo Y76s 5G.
Vivo’s Y series is known for consistently offering good smartphones at affordable price points. The company had recently announced the Vivo Y15s, and has now added to the Vivo Y lineup with the Vivo Y76s 5G.
The Y76s 5G has a large 6.58-inch screen with a 60Hz FullHD+ LCD display and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The screen also has a notch for the 8MP selfie camera. The smartphone's rear panel sports the dual camera system consisting of a 50MP primary and 2MP macro lens. Interestingly, the smartphone lets you record videos with the front and back camera at the same time. It also supports video stabilisation.
The vivo Y76s 5G is powered by the Dimensity 810 SoC, and has 8GB RAM onboard, which can be expanded by up to 4GB. The smartphone runs on the OriginOS 1.0, which is based on Android 11. The smartphone comes with two storage options, 128GB and 265GB. Both are expandable to 1TB with the help of a microSD card.
The smartphone has a 5-layer cooling system which should make it an apt choice for gamers looking for a budget-friendly smartphone. It also has a 4,100 mAh battery with 44W charging support. Note that it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, as opposed to a scanner built into the display.
Currently, the Vivo Y76s 5G is being sold in China. The base model (which has 128GB storage) is being sold at CNY1,799 while the other model is being sold at CNY2000.
There is no word from the brand regarding the smartphone’s availability in global markets as of now.
