HIGHLIGHTS

US based Saygus launches a smartphone that can handle 320GB of storage and comes with root access.

If you think smartphones today don’t offer much in terms of storage, take a look at the Saygus V2. The V2 comes with 64GB of internal storage and has two microSD card slots that can take upto 128GB microSD cards each. This takes up the total storage capacity of the smartphone to a whopping 320GB. The company behind this smartphone Saygus is based in Utah, USA.

The Saygus V2 is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. The smartphone has a 5-inch Gorilla Glass 4 screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has a 3GB of RAM and a 3100 mAh removable battery. On the rear, the smartphone uses a 21 MP camera and on the front, it uses a 13 MP camera. Both cameras have autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS).

Apart from the usual specs, the phone features front and back light sensors for better screen optimizations. It supports 60 GHz of wireless beaming which means users can beam content to any Wifi TV using a Wifi dongle. The V2 will run on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat out of the box. The phone comes with root access enabled (which will allow apps to directly modify content on microSD cards) and the phone supports multi-boot. The smartphone is priced roughly around $700 (Rs. 43,150). Saygus is currently taking pre-orders for the device and will start shipping the phone in Q1 2015.
