Tecno reveals Pova 5’s rear LED lights, Nothing calls it copy cat
HIGHLIGHTS

We couldn’t help but notice its uncanny resemblance to the Nothing smartphone.

Tecno recently shared a teaser video featuring the attractive LED lighting system.

The Tecno Pova 5 Pro could feature a RGB LED strip that will converge at one point.

Tecno Pova 5 is expected to release soon in August this year but leaks featuring the phone have been doing rounds for quite some while now. We couldn’t help but notice its uncanny resemblance to the Nothing smartphone, with a rear design offering LED lights for notifications. This resemblance has now caught the attention of the Nothing brand, whose USP is the rear light panel.

Tecno recently shared a teaser video featuring the attractive LED lighting system on their upcoming Tecno Pova 5 Pro. This didn’t go well at the Nothing office. Taking a dig at the company, Nothing retweeted the teaser stating, “If you want to copy our homework, just ask next time?”

While Nothing seems to be upset about this, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro is set for launch this August, as per an India Today Source.

The teaser video in question revealed the LED Interface on the upcoming Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G. It shows how the LED strip on the rear panel would work during an incoming call. As per rumours that we reported earlier, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro will feature a RGB LED strip that will converge at one point. In addition to that, the teaser video shows a small LED visible in the middle of the rear panel.

Here’s what we need to keep in mind, even though Tecno Pova 5 Pro’s design might remind us of the Nothing Phones, Tecno has taken an original take with the design in its phone.

Unlike the Nothing Phones which just have a white light, the Arc Interface on the Tecno Pova 5 Pro, as the company calls it, will feature the RGB strip. Further, as we revealed earlier as well, the phone could be backed by a 7,000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging support, as per rumours.
