Samsung's upcoming flagship, Galaxy S23, was spotted on the popular benchmarking platform Geekbench earlier this week. Now, another smartphone from the S23 lineup, the high-end S23 Ultra, has surfaced on Geekbench's database. The benchmark listing suggests that the model is in the last stages of development, and the company has finalised specifications. The S23 Ultra appears with the model number SM-S917U, where the character' U' could stand for the United States version. Thankfully, the Geekbench listing of the smartphone also contains a lot of information.

Galaxy S23 Ultra Geekbench listing reveals specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra's Geekbench listing was first spotted by the publication MySmartPrice. The listing reveals that the Galaxy S23 Ultra's motherboard is codenamed 'Kalama', which is reportedly a reference to the unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The listing shows that the processor has one high-performance core clocked at 3.36GHz, four balanced cores clocked at 2.80GHz, and three efficient cores clocked at 2.02GHz.

Along with the processing cores, the system-on-chip also has the Adreno 740 GPU. Although the model that appeared for the Geekbench test had 8GB of RAM, we can expect more storage models with more memory. Further, we know that the smartphone runs on the Android 13 operating system.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 offers about 15% better performance than its predecessor

Now, let's address the elephant in the room, the Geekbench scores of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. To begin with, the smartphone scored 1521 points in the single-core test and 4689 points in the multi-core test. In comparison, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC scores about 1311 points in the single-core test and 4070 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench.

For those who are catching up, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 released earlier this year. The new chipset could offer about 15 to 16% better performance. Although Qualcomm has not announced the chipset yet, it has appeared in several online listings.

Apart from Geekbench, the Galaxy S23 Ultra was also spotted on China's 3C certification website with 25W fast charging. In addition, the smartphone is also tipped to come with a 200MP camera. Unfortunately, the CAD renders don't suggest changes in the smartphone's design. Hence, most likely, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with the design of the Galaxy S22 Ultra already in the market.
