The smartphone offers a triple camera setup and the flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset. Vivo X300 Pro vs Vivo X500: Should you wait?
In terms of the current discounted pricing, the phone will likely compete with the rumoured X500, which may launch in India in the coming months. Vivo X500 will likely be part of the X500 series, which may compete with the Oppo Find X10, iQOO 16, Motorola Signature 27, Xiaomi 18 Pro and more phones.
Coming to the comparison with the X300 Pro: Among notable changes, the X500 is expected to offer a smaller LTPS screen (compared to a larger LTPO screen on the X300 Pro), MediaTek Dimensity 9600M (in comparison to the full-fledged Dimensity 9500 of the X300 Pro) and inferior telephoto lens hardware – 1/1.95 64MP sensor (vs the 1/1.4 200MP of the X300 Pro). However, the vanilla flagship may have a larger battery at 7,500mAh (against the 6,510mAh of the X300 Pro).
In view of these changes, the X300 Pro can prove to be a solid option over the anticipated Vivo X500. Further, if budget is not a concern, you can consider waiting for the Vivo X500 Pro Max (the true successor of the X300 Pro in terms of specifications) and then decide which one to pick, if availability of the X300 series allows.
