Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 price drops ahead of iPad India launch

Samsung launched its 10.1-inch tablet in India back in July 2012 for Rs. 32,990 and has now dropped the price to Rs. 25,900. The price drop comes just after the announcement of Apple’s 4th gen iPad and the iPad mini in India.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 can be purchased from the Indian online retail store, Saholic.com. The device will be delivered in four business days with free shipping.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 has a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, a 7000mAh battery, a 3MP rear camera, a VGA front facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0 and 16/32GB built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The tablet is available in two colours – silver and white.

The Apple iPad mini is now available online in India via the shopping portal Saholic. The 16GB Wi-Fi version has been priced at Rs. 21,900, while the 16GB Wi-Fi 3G is retailing for Rs. 29,900. As per the details that Saholic has shared with us, the iPad mini will be shipped with an “Indian invoice”. The listing for both tablets also specifies “12 months manufacturer’s warranty with proper bill”. The Apple iPad 4th gen (16GB – Wi-Fi) is priced at Rs. 31,900.
