According to Netherlands-based Android World, Samsung will begin taking pre-orders for its latest flagship - Galaxy S7, on February 21 itself. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge at its ‘Unpacked’ event scheduled for Feb 21, a day before the official start of the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona.

The report goes on to say that pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 will begin on the same day as the launch, whereas the actual shipment date will be March 11. It’s also expected that Samsung will be throwing in free Gear VR headsets for those who place their orders between Feb 21 & March 10. To avail this deal, users will have to sign up on Samsung's official website with a proof of purchase.

It has been some time since Samsung’s upcoming flagship started appearing in leaks across the web. There are multiple rumors that suggest that the company has plans of launching three new phones which could be powered by two different SoCs. The three phones expected from Samsung at the Feb 21 event are - Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and the S7 Edge+. Other rumours suggest that the S7 Edge+ may not be a part of the MWC launch portfolio. Going by the rumours till now, the main difference between the three phones is the display size. The original Galaxy S7 is likely to feature a 5.1-inch display, the S7 Edge could feature a 5.5-inch display and the S7 Edge + may come with a 5.7-inch display.

We will be at the Samsung event in Barcelona on Feb 21. Stay tuned to Digit for all the updates from MWC 2016.
