It includes the vanilla variant (Samsung Galaxy S24), the middle child (Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus), and the high-end (Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra).

What’s interesting and different this year? Well, a lot has been changed in the latest Galaxy S series. However, in this article, we’ll talk about the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S24 model. Today, we’ll compare it with Google’s latest smartphone, the Pixel 8. Yes, I know this is going to be interesting so let’s bring it on!

Both smartphones come with a similar design to their predecessor. The Samsung Galaxy S24 has a triple-camera setup on the back. While the Pixel 8 comes with only a dual-camera setup. Both smartphones feature an IP68 rating against dust and water. Speaking of their dimension and weight, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is 8.6mm thin and the Pixel 8 measures 8.9mm. However, in terms of weight, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is heavier, measuring 233 grams. The Pixel 8 weighs 187 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is equipped with a 6.2-inch AMOLED display that comes with 120Hz refresh rate support and FHD+ resolution. In terms of brightness, it has 2600 nits of peak brightness, as per Samsung.

On the other hand, the Google Pixel 8 features a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. This display comes with 2000 nits of peak brightness.

Before I talk about their processor, RAM, and more, there is one thing that should be talked about first. From now on, we are going to see AI in everything. Keeping that spirit in mind, AI is in the limelight of this year’s Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. The main USP of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is the Galaxy AI. Samsung has infused the Galaxy AI in this smartphone series to enhance the user experience. This would make your day-to-day life quite easy, according to Samsung. Speaking of the Pixel 8, this smartphone series is also pretty much about AI. However, in the Pixel 8 Pro, you get more AI features than the vanilla Pixel 8.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is powered by the Exynos 2400 processor. It will be paired with three storage configurations; 8GB RAM 128GB storage, 8GB RAM 256GB storage, and 8GB RAM 512GB storage. Moreover, this smartphone is backed by OneUI 6.1 skin, which is based on the latest Android 14 OS.

The Pixel 8 is equipped with a Google Tensor G3 chipset coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. This also runs on the latest Android 14 OS.

There is a triple-camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy S24, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide lens, and a 10-megapixel Telephoto sensor. On the front, there is a 12-megapixel selfie shooter.
