A similar feature made its debut in the Apple iPhone 14 series in 2022, and it is also present on the iPhone 15.

For quite some time, there have been several rumours and leaks about Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone series, Galaxy S24. Now, a Samsung executive has hinted that the Galaxy S24 series is expected to support satellite connectivity for emergency services.

According to a report by SamMobile, Park Yong-in, CEO of Samsung’s System LSI division, confirmed that the tech giant will support satellite connectivity for emergency services starting next year.

This probably indicates that the upcoming Galaxy S24 series, which is expected to launch early next year, will likely feature two-way satellite connectivity for emergencies.

So, it is possible that the tech giant might incorporate this technology into the Galaxy S24 series. However, it remains uncertain whether this feature will be available on all models of the Galaxy S24 series or limited to the high-end Galaxy S24 Ultra model.

The implementation of two-way satellite connectivity would empower users to send and receive messages about their location and emergencies, even in remote areas lacking cellular mobile phone network coverage.

Recently, it was reported that Samsung is planning to fully integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its Galaxy S24 flagship smartphone series. As per the report, Samsung aims to make the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra the “smartest AI phones” ever.

The upcoming Galaxy S24 series is expected to incorporate features lifted straight from ChatGPT and Google Bard, enabling users to generate content and narratives using just a few keywords provided by them.
