Leaked images of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 suggest a metal and glass build, gives a sneak peek at the air-command menu.

Samsung is hosting a big Unpacked event in New York next thursday, on 13th August and it is expected that the company may unveils the next Note phone at the event, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The phone has been leaked several times in the past couple of months, but newly leaked images also give us a sneak peek at the new software. The leaked images also suggest a clear departure for Samsung from removable batteries and microSD card slots.

According to the leaked images, the phone’s design is quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6. This means, the phone is likely to have a brushed aluminum frame with a slightly curved glass back. This also suggests a non-removable back and no slot for a microSD card. Going by the leaked images, the phone will have a normal micro-USB slot only, unlike the OnePlus 2, which is sporting the USB Type-C port. One of the leaked images also showcases the new air-command menu for the Stylus, which if it is to be belived, will to allow users to customize at least one of the air command’s shortcuts.

As it is a Note phone, it is expected to feature a large Super AMOLED display, and taking the leaked images into account, wrapped in thin bezels. The phone may be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7422 SoC. This SoC is rumored to be the upgraded version to the Exynos 7420, which powers the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and S6. Samsung might give the phone 4GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage options.

The rear camera on the phone is rumored to carry a 16MP sensor with laser autofocus and OIS (optical image stabilization), while an 8MP sensor is expectd on the front. Rumors also suggest that Samsung might have another phone ready for the launch, allegedly called the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The S6 Edge Plus will be a larger S6 Edge with a large 5.7-inch curved display. If rumors are to be believed, the phone might carry an identical spec sheet to the upcoming Note 5.

Samsung’s Unpack is set for next week, we will know more whether Samsung is launching one or two phones, but till then, it's all expectations, leaked images, and rumors.
