Global availability and pricing aren't revealed as yet, but looking at the specifications it's likely to be a mid-range or budget phone.
Samsung has introduced a new smartphone called Galaxy Core Max. The smartphone, sporting the model number SM-G5108Q, supports dual-SIM connectivity. The device is currently available in China.
Samsung's Galaxy Core Max has a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with qHD resolution. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with TouchWiz layer. The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB built in storage, supports additional storage.
The Galaxy Core Max has an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. A 2200 mAh battery powers the phone.
Other important features of the phone such as global availability and pricing aren't revealed right now. However, looking at the specifications, it seems to be a mid-range device, and likely to be touted as a selfie phone for its 5MP front facing camera.
Samsung recently launched its flagship phone – Galaxy Note 4 – in India. The Galaxy Note 4 has a 5.7 inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display with a 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, along with 3GB of RAM. The Note 4 comes with 32GB Internal memory, and supports microSD up to 128GB.
For the budget/entry-level segment, it is readying to launch Galaxy Core Prime. Samsung's new entry-level smartphone – Galaxy Core Prime – was recently spotted on the e-commerce site Flipkart. The smartphone was briefly listed with a price tag of Rs. 8,499, however Flipkart soon removed the pricing.
