Redmi has recently confirmed the launch date for its upcoming Redmi 17C. The smartphone will be the new addition to the Redmi 17 series, which currently has the standard Redmi 17 device. The company has also teased the smartphone in three colourways and has confirmed the rear design of the device. The smartphone can be seen with a dual rear camera setup whose details have not yet been officially announced. Furthermore, leaks also point out that the device may come packed with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and a 6,000 mAh cell. The Redmi 17C is anticipated to come with a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display, which can be paired with a 120 Hz refresh rate. If the rumours are to be trusted, then the device could weigh around 211 g and could be 8.05 mm thick. The handset is also said to get Wet Touch Technology 2.0 that could allow the users to register a touch even with damp, oily or soapy fingers.
The handset is expected to draw its power from the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which is built of 6 nm technology. Furthermore, the rumours also claim that the device may house 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage options. The device may also be shipped with HyperOS 3, an Android 16-based skin.
Redmi is also tipped to pack its 17C model with a 6,000mAh cell that may get paired with 33W wired charging. In terms of optics, the device is said to sport a dual camera setup at the back, including a 50MP main camera and a secondary lens whose details remain under the wrap at the time of writing. The device is also said to feature an 8MP sensor at the front for selfies and video calls. The handset will reportedly launch in three colourways, notably black, brown and lavender.
