Realme has launched its first two devices, the Realme X(₹ 16688 at amazon) and the Realme X Lite, in China. Both the variants are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, however, the Realme X is better of the two, with flagship level features like 48MP camera, in-display fingerprint sensor and a pop-up module for the selfie camera. The Realme X has already received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), suggesting that the phone would also launch in India soon.
The Realme X sports a 6.53-inch AMOLED Samsung display, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. There is no notch on the display and Realme claims that the phone has a 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display has a 6th generation optical in-display fingerprint sensor, which is claimed to be 65 percent faster than the previous generation. Just like the Realme X Lite, the phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor and is offered in in three variant with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It comes with a copper pipe cooling that is claimed to reduce the temperature by 15.2 percent while gaming. The phone will be available in three colour variants: White, Blue and a special edition inspired by onion peel. The first two variants have an S-shaped pattern on the back.
In the camera department, the Realme X is equipped with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor with a 6P lens having an aperture of f/1.7. There is a 5MP secondary sensor accompanied by an LED flash. The rear camera comes with special modes to improve photography. There is a Super Resolution Mode which is claimed to intelligently merge eight shots into one for high definition photos. According to the company, the phone can shoot 960fps slo-mo videos.
On the front is a pop-up 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with the corresponding lens having an aperture of f/2.0. Just like we have seen in the OnePlus 7 Pro, the pop-up module is claimed to detect a fall and take 0.73 seconds to retract inside the body. The phone draws power from a 3765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 support.
The phone will be available in three variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant that will cost CNY 1499 (approx Rs 15,000) , a 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant for CNY 1599 (approx Rs 16,000), and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant for 1799 (approx Rs 18,000). The special edition with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1899 (approx Rs 19,000).
The Realme X Lite was first spotted on TENAA listing, and it can be called as the watered down version of the flagship Relame X that cuts on a lot of features like in-display fingerprint sensor. Basically, Realme X Lite is the rebranded version of the Realme 3 Pro that was launched in April in India. The Realme X Lite features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a dewdrop notch and a chin. Relame claims that the design gives the phone a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent. There is a secondary 5MP sensor with a lens having f/2.4 aperture. The company claims that camera is capable of shooting in 4K and take super slow-mo (960 fps) videos.
