Realme 16 Pro series India launch soon: Price, camera, performance and all other leaks
Realme 16 Pro series may launch in early 2026 with a new design and big camera upgrades, including a 200MP main sensor and telephoto lens on the Pro Plus.
Pro Plus is tipped to use a more powerful chip than Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, with both models offering a 144Hz AMOLED display and 7000mAh battery.
The Realme 15 Pro Plus is expected to cost between Rs 35,000 and Rs 38,000, and the Realme 15 Pro may cost between Rs 28,000 and Rs 32,000. Both devices are likely to launch on January 6, 2026.
Realme is getting ready to refresh its midrange smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the upcoming Realme 16 Pro series. The new series is expected to hit the Indian market in early 2026. Early teasers provide a look at the redesigned body with curved sides, a slim profile, and the premium gold finish. The latest leaks suggests that Realme might be heavily emphasizing camera performance this time around, particularly with the addition of the telephoto shooter on the Pro Plus model. The Realme 16 Pro family is expected to have two devices notably the Realme 16 Pro and the Realme 16 Pro Plus.

The Realme 16 Pro Plus is likely to introduce some serious camera upgrades. The recent reports suggest that it might offer a 200 MP primary camera, a 50 MP 3.5X telephoto lens using the JN5 sensor with a focal length of about 85mm , and an 8 MP ultrawide camera. Realme itself has officially teased the zoom range of 1X to 10X, thus confirming the presence of the telephoto lens on the Pro Plus model.
However, the Realme 16 Pro might also have a 200MP primary sensor with an 8MP ultrawide shooter, but may not include the telephoto lens. The selfie camera is expected to feature a 50MP front camera for each model. Realme also promised AI Genie 2.0 featuring AI LightMe and AI StyleMe filters for better portraits and improved low light photography.

Realme 16 Pro series: Processor (Expected)
According to the teaser from Realme, the Realme 16 Pro Plus scores about 20 percent higher than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, indicating a more powerful chip and points toward using the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or even the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3.
While the regular Realme 16 Pro will most likely house a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 class processor, which can offer better power efficiency, improved thermal handling, and smoother gaming compared to the predecessor.
Realme 16 Pro series: Display, battery and other features (Expected)
It is tipped that both phones will boast a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Realme 16 Pro Plus might arrive with a more high-resolution 1.5K OLED panel. Upcoming models are also expected to house a bigger 7000 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.

Other expected features would include an in-display fingerprint scanner, an infrared blaster, and the recently launched realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. The handsets could be made available in grey, gold, and purple colour variants and could measure around 192 grams.
Realme 16 Pro series expected launch date
As per speculations, the Realme 16 Pro series will be launched in India on 6 January 2026, which coincidentally could go head-on against the Redmi Note 15 series, said to release around that time too.

The Realme 16 Pro Plus might cost between Rs 35,000 and Rs 38,000, and the Realme 16 Pro may be priced between Rs 28,000 and Rs 32,000. This makes them a bit more expensive than the older models. The higher prices are due to a global shortage of AI chips and better overall features in the new phones.
