The ultra slim 4.85mm Oppo R5 enters the Indian market where it competes with a range of mid-range of Android smartphone.
Oppo has officially announced the launch of its R5 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 29,990, the smartphone is powered by octa-core Qualcomm MSM8939 along with 2GB of RAM. The phone will be available for pre-booking starting January 1, 2015.
The Oppo R5 measures 4.85mm, slightly bigger than Vivo's X5MAX (4.7mm). The smartphone has a 5.2-inch AMOLED full HD display. The phone sports a 13MP rear camera with Sony Exmor IMX214 BSI sensor and 5MP front-facing camera.
The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat along with custom ColorOS 2.0. It comes with 16GB internal storage. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB. It is powered by a 2000 mAh battery.
Other features of the phone Oppo's VOOC charging technology which the company claims to get 75% charge in 30 minutes. The Oppo R5 comes with USB-to-3.5mm audio adaptor with the phone.
