Oplus launches the XonPhone5 smartphone in India, XonPhone5 is the first smartphone offering by Oplus in India. The phone is priced at Rs. 7,999 and is being sold exclusively via Snapdeal in India.

Oplus today launched the XonPhone5 smartphone in India at a launch event in New Delhi. Oplus and Snapdeal under the partnership is going to sell this device exclusively on Snapdeal. The device is available to buy from Snapdeal right from today for Rs 7,999. Oplus had announced its first product, the Oplus XonPad7 back in January this year.

The XonPhone5 is a low budget Android smartphone with a 5-inch HP IPS OG display with a resolution of 720X1280 pixels with a pixel density of 320 ppi.

The XonPhone5 is powered by a quad-core Mediatek Processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM and a Mali-400 GPU. It runs out of the box with Android 4.4.2 (Kitkat). It also comes with an internal storage of 8GB and supports microSD cards upto 32GB. Imaging is handled by an 8MP camera that can shoot 1080p videos and a 2MP front facing camera. The device is compatible with all modern connectivity standards including Bluetooth, 3G, GPS and WI-FI (with Hotspot).

The XonPhone5 will be competing with the Motorola Moto E and the Asus Zenfone 4
