OnePlus offers 6,000 free Avengers: Infinity War tickets across India
HIGHLIGHTS

OnePlus has partnered with Paytm to offer 6000 complimentary tickets for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie. The offer is valid for OnePlus smartphone customers in ten cities across India.

OnePlus recently announced a collaboration with Marvel Studios, which hints that the company could launch an Avengers: Infinity War themed OnePlus 6 smartphone in the country. Now, the company is giving away 6,000 complimentary movie tickets for the upcoming Marvel movie, in partnership with Paytm. OnePlus customers in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kochi, Pune and Ahmedabad will be able to claim the movie tickets at 10 PM on April 26.

In order to claim the free movie tickets, one needs to visit oneplus.in and register their OnePlus IMEI number. This is not needed when the IMEI number is already registered. Navigate to the Avengers: Infinity War ticket giveaway page and click on the ‘Get It’ button. You will then need to choose your city to generate a voucher code and this depends on availability. Once the ticket coupon code is generated, you will need to follow the link to Paytm website and select from the available shows and complete the checkout process for the same city.

You will be charged Re.1 as a token processing fee to get a free snack with every movie ticket and the amount would be returned as cashback once the transaction process within 24-48 hours. OnePlus customers will be able to select shows at the following venues:

  • PVR ICON Infiniti Mall Versova (Mumbai)
  • PVR Pune Phoenix Market City (Pune)
  • PVR Kukatpally Forum Mall (Hyderabad)
  • PVR Elante Mall (Chandigarh)
  • PVR Ampa Mall (Chennai)
  • Cinemax Mani Square Mall (Kolkata)
  • PVR DLF Mall of India (Delhi NCR)
  • PVR Forum Mall (Bangalore)
  • PVR Lulu Mall (Kochi)
  • PVR Acropolis (Ahmedabad)

This is similar to when the company offered free movie screening to its customers when it launched the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition in India. As mentioned earlier, the company could launch an Avengers: Infinity War themed OnePlus 6 smartphone in the country, which is expected to feature top-of-the-line specs of 8GB RAM and 256 internal storage.

From what we know about the OnePlus 6 so far, it will come with a notch on top of its display. As some users are against the new design adopted by the company, there will be a compatibility mode on the upcoming smartphone, which will allow users to hide the notch whenever the smartphone is in portrait mode. It will also come with a 3.5mm audio jack and the handset could be waterproof or splash-proof as well, going by the company’s teasers. It is also expected to come with gestures similar to the iPhone X and allow users to swipe up from the left to go back a screen, from the middle and hold for multitasking and more.

Alongside the OnePlus 6, the company could also launch a Bluetooth enabled version of its Bullets in-ear headphones, which were spotted on the Bluetooth certification website sporting the model number BT31B and it’s registered to OnePlus. Some previous reports also tip at another variant of the smartphone, with a wooden finish on the rear panel. The phone is expected to launch running on OxygenOS based upon Android Oreo and official forum for the OnePlus 6 is also up.

OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau also recently posted the first official camera samples captured from the smartphone. He showcased the daylight and bokeh performance of the camera on the smartphone and unsurprisingly, the meta-data from the images was removed so that no details of the device’s camera can be identified.

The company also revealed that the OnePlus 6 could be built using new materials and we can expect the device to come with a glass back or even a ceramic rear panel. This leads to the possibility of including wireless charging on the device and it is also possible that the use of new premium materials could lead to increased price of the OnePlus 6. The smartphone will also be Amazon exclusive as the e-commerce website has put up a dedicated launch page for the upcoming smartphone. Users can now register to get notified when the device is launched by entering their email ID and as soon as the device is available, they will receive all the relevant information like the price, launch offers, and availability. Amazon usually makes this service available when a device is set to launch in a couple of weeks.
