As per OnePlus, the OnePlus 6 has surpassed the sales record of its OnePlus 5 and 5T as around one million the latter devices were sold in three months.
It’s been about a month since OnePlus launched its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone and the company has some news to share. OnePlus says that the OnePlus 6 is their fastest and best-selling smartphone, surpassing its predecessors when it comes to sales numbers. The new handset has surpassed one million in sales globally and this is a new benchmark for the company considering its previous best selling smartphones, the OnePlus 5 (review) and OnePlus 5T (review), each sold one million units within three months of their launch. The company says that the sales can be attributed to the “highly engaged” communities with a global user base of 5 million and OnePlus’ focus on only one flagship at a time.
OnePlus has also announced a ‘Community Celebration Season’ as a sign of gratitude for its community members. There will be some offers for customers, who are planning to buy the OnePlus 6 between June 15 to June 26. They will get to avail a Rs 2,000 cashback on Citibank credit and debit cards and a no-cost EMI on all popular banks for three months. While exchanging with another OnePlus smartphone, one can get an additional Rs 1,500 off. There is an extra Rs 1,000 off on exchange with any other device.
There is also a referral program on Amazon and you will receive an extended warranty of three months if you get someone to buy the OnePlus 6 via your referral. Additionally, two customers buying the OnePlus 6, from any online or offline channel, will be selected at random everyday, who will get the device for free. OnePlus is also throwing in free software flashing upgrades and diagnosis, without any labour charges, even on ‘Out of Warranty’ cases, along with a 10 percent additional discount on spare parts.
