OnePlus 6 specifications

OnePlus has time and again emphasised that the OnePlus 6 is “built for speed” and yesterday, it was clear that the all-glass design is also something the company wants its customers to notice. The OnePlus 6 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and it features a 6.28-inch Full Optic screen with a taller 19:9 display aspect ratio. It comes with an all-glass rear panel, but does not come with wireless charging support. The device runs on OxygenOS 5.1, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. It supports Face Unlock as well.

In terms of optics, the OnePlus 6 comes with two vertically stacked cameras in which one is a 20MP Sony IMX519 sensor and another is a 16MP Sony IMX376K sensor. The rear camera supports both Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic image stabilization (EIS). The company says that the rear camera can take better portrait images as compared to its predecessors and comes with added modes and effects. In a future update, the Bokeh mode will be enabled for the front-facing camera as well. The device's camera can also capture slow motion videos, but at 480 fps and not at the rumoured frame rate of 960fps. On the front is a 16 MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture lens.

The OnePlus 6 comes with a new built-in video editor on, which will allow one to crop, add background music and use various filters on video. The smartphone is backed by a 3300mAh battery, which supports the company's proprietary Dash Charge technology and it comes with a gaming mode, which the company says not only blocks notifications, but also boosts an app's performance by prioritising data and resources, while limiting the background processes. OnePlus will also make the latest public beta of the Android P available for the device in a few days and it will be downloadable from the company's website.

OnePlus Bullets wireless in-ear headphones

The company also launched the OnePlus Bullets wireless in-ear headphones at the event yesterday. The earbuds on the headphones are magnetic and snap together in place and when they are put together, the device is turned off to save power. When users separate the earbuds, they automatically resume audio playback and the same gesture can be used to receive a call.

The wireless headphones are also Apt-X enabled and are equipped with an “energy tube”, which is said to absorb any interfering soundwaves to deliver cleaner sound. The headphones also support fast charging and OnePlus says that it can deliver up to 5 hours of audio playback when charged for just 10 minutes. It is priced at $69 (Rs 4,672 approx) and will be available for purchase from June 5. The company could launch the device in India at the event today.
