Carl Pei’s Nothing has revealed the launch date of its first smartphone called Phone (1) on July 12, 2022, at 16:00 BST (8:30 PM IST). It will be showcased as part of the “Return to Instinct” event. Ahead of this day, let us go through everything we know about the first Nothing phone.
Starting off with the design, Nothing Phone (1) is confirmed to adorn a transparent chassis, quite like the ear (1). The company apparently “wanted to bring the inside out”. The glass sandwich will be held together by a recycled aluminium frame.

As per the company’s design chief, “There are over 400 components in a smartphone, assembled in layers. We wanted to celebrate the “good ones”, the things we thought were really interesting to emphasize”. So, we could get to see the wireless charging coil and the cameras.
The Nothing Phone (1) cameras could be a 50+8+2MP setup on the back and a 32MP selfie shooter on the front. The frontier could be a 6.43-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display with HDR10+ support.
Inside the phone, we are also expecting Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, a 4500mAh battery with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and Android 12.
