Nokia is rolling out Windows Phone Cyan update for Nokia Lumia 520 and 720
Nokia is now rolling out the Windows Phone Cyan update for its old Lumia 520 and 720 devices. Previously the update was available only for the recently launched devices. Twitter has been buzzing since yesterday with people tweeting about receiving the update.
Nokia has released an over the air update for both the devices. This is good news for Lumia 520 and 720 owners as these devices will be able to get Windows phone 8.1 upgrade. It was expected that the Lumia 520 will get updated to Cyan but the Lumia 720 update came as a surprize as that was supposedly scheduled for September.
The Lumia Cyan update is the third update from the Windows division in Nokia. The update brings features like PureView camera, Living Images and an updated creative studio editing app. The update brings battery and performance optimizations as well. The Cyan update also brings the personal start screen, more tiles, flow keyboard and action center.
Nokia has not officially announced that the Lumia 520 and 720 are being updated to Lumia Cyan, but we know users who have reported that they have received the update.
